It’s a recognizable group of stars that kinda resembles a coathanger. Although it looks like an open star cluster, it is actually an asterism. An asterism is a chance alignment of stars that only appear grouped from our point of view from Earth. To ensure the final print perfectly matches the digital image, I produced multiple prototypes and carefully refined those results.
The image itself was captured using my Askar 103APO, ZWO ASI2600MC AIR cooled deep sky camera and an UV/IR cut filter, a combination that helps retain amazingly shaped stars with beautiful colours.
