C 2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) - The Great Comet of 2024
C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS), also known as the Great Comet of 2024, was a spectacular sight with its impressive tail. To capture this comet, I went to a quiet field, away from city lights, to get the clearest possible view. The dark skies and unobstructed horizon provided the perfect conditions to photograph this stunning cosmic visitor before it faded from view.

C 2022 E3 ZTF - The Green Comet of 2023
C/2022 E3 ZTF was the second comet I ever saw, and the first one I managed to capture through a telescope. The first comet I witnessed with the naked eye was Neowise, but this one had a unique appeal. I photographed it using my old Omegon Advanced 150/750 telescope paired with the ZWO ASI224MC planetary camera. The comet’s bright green color made it relatively easy to spot, even in less than ideal conditions.
Discovered in March 2022 by the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) at the Palomar Observatory, this long-period comet made its closest approach to Earth in early 2023. The ZTF mission is renowned for its wide-field survey of the sky, helping astronomers spot transient events like comets, supernovae, and asteroids. The comet's striking green hue was caused by diatomic carbon in its coma, which emits a vibrant glow under ultraviolet light from the Sun.
Capturing this comet was a special experience, marking my first time photographing a comet with a telescope.
